I have finally gotten around to making some new beads.  I’ve really been wanting to torch lately but hadn’t had the chance, so I’m glad I finally found some time. 

I’ve just listed some lentil shaped focals.  They’re smaller sized focals, about 21mm, and will make some lovely pendants or feature beads in bracelets.

Also listed, are two sets.  A cute little four bead set of lentils and a larger 11 bead set. 

I’m hoping to get some more torch time over the next several days, fingers crossed! 

I’ve also been busy setting up a new photo area.  This way I wont be relying on bright, sunny days for taking photos.  I purchased an extra light, so hopefully it will be perfect now.  Hope you like them!!

I was checking the stats for my website this afternoon, and discovered that I was getting several hits from a particular page on a website that I’m advertising on. 

Of course, curiosity got the better of me and I had to check it out.  It turns out that the owner of the site/blog checked out my website after seeing the ad and wrote a lovely blurb about me!!  She has even purchased a couple of items.  I now know why I have had several sales to Malaysia lately!  It’s wonderful!

I was thinking my website was looking rather dark and sombre, so I decided to brighten it up a little. 

So I had a play and came up with new page title banners, and a new entry page.  When you scroll over ‘lampwork’ and ‘jewellery’ on the entry page some piccies will pop up showing samples of my work. 

I got a wonderful new program/add-on for photoshop that turns the graphics into html and css coding etc.  You can even build complete websites in photoshop, add some hints to the layer names and it will convert the whole thing for you!  You then just load it into the websites file manager and viola!  It’s done!!  I’m having a ball with it!   I also picked up the new photoshop CS3.. ohhhhh so many new things to play with! 

Anyway, enough gushing from me!

I finally got around to adding gift vouchers to both my lampwork and jewellery sites. 

They are physical gift vouchers that will be mailed to either yourself or the recipient.  They are available in values of $5, $10, $25, $50 and $100.

If you’d like the voucher to be mailed to the recipient, you just have to note their name and address details, as well as the ‘To’, ‘From’ and ‘Message’ information, in the comments section during checkout.

You can also combine the voucher quantities into one total.  Just add the vouchers that equal the total value you want into your cart, then state in the comments section at checkout that you wish to combine them.  Eg for a $30 voucher, purchase the $5 and $25 vouchers, then in comments state “combine for $30 voucher”

I finally got around to finishing off a necklace that has been half made for the last few months.  I’m really happy with how it turned out, love the different shades of browns and greens, hence the name ‘Mother Nature’. 

It incorporates some beautiful hypersten gemstones, a large Thai silver heart, some Swarovski crystals, Czech glass, keishi pearls and Bali silver.  It’s finished off with cotton cord in brown and green, and ended with an easy to use sterling hook and eye clasp.

I also changed up my photo’s a little, added a background and some other changes.  I’ll probably be posting some different style of images over the next few months, I’m really in the mood to do something different and find something that “fits”.

Eeeep!  I think I’m in a slump!  Lost my mojo!  Just generally unmotivated!!  I hate feeling like this, which of course makes it even worse. 

I think it’s because it’s getting cold here and I’m more in the mood to stay inside in the warm and read a book or two or three…  I have my torch set up in the garage where it’s cold, drafty and can get quite damp when it rains, with boring grey concrete and boring grey fibro walls with raw ugly studs (not the hubba hubba kinda but the wooden kind hehehe)

I’ve decided to buy some canvas’s and splash some colourful paint on them and hang them up in the garage.  Might even get some concrete paint and paint the floor, if it stops raining anytime soon.. hmm can you paint concrete floors in winter??

Anywhoooooooo, help me get over my slump please!!  Pop a comment below with suggestions of what I can make, what you’d like to see, eg styles? colours? sets? focals? pairs? etc etc  I’ll even pop everyone that comments into a draw for some glass goodness that evolves from the suggestions.

Speaking of draws, I’ll pop up the monthly draw winner later today sometime… or maybe tomorrow if I end up getting stuck in a book!   lol
