I didn’t realise just how long it’s been since I last posted!
As you can see, I pretty much had 2011 off from lampworking, etc. Lot’s of little things just seemed to get in the way, keeping me away from the torch.
I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and New Years, that all your wishes came true and you’re all happy and healthy.
It’s that time of year that alot of people make new years resolutions. I’m not going to do that and end up disappointing myself, because inevitably I will! LOL I am going to look at my priorities though and get myself organised! I’ll be starting with a list of things I really need to get done, and things I want to do, which will include spending more time creating glassy goodness. :P I definitely need to stop procrastinating!!
Most of all I’d like to wish you all a happy, safe and prosperous 2012! I hope you achieve all that you dream of.
Lots of Love!

LOL I’m sorry, but I just couldn’t resist the take off of Lions, Tigers and Bears oh my! LOL
Anywhoooo, onto the pretties!
I’ve restocked my Apricot Nectar cabochons, so if you missed out on those last time, you can now get your hands on them. I also wanted to make some pinky pink cabs, so now we have available Bubblegum Girl, which has different shades of pink on a pink base.

There are two new styles of rings. One version has an oval cabochon, so if you like you rings a lil larger these are for you.

The other rings are beautiful pure colours with a top of dichroic glass. I really wanted to play with just the one colour. There are a couple of them that I’m very tempted to keep for myself!

And lastly are the pendants. I had some cabochons that were a little off centre with the colour, so I decided to play around with my glass grinder making them into different shapes. I really love how they turned out, they’re so cute. I keep thinking they’d be perfect for a tween/teen. I’m calling them my Sweetheart collection. Too cute!

To see everything new listed together, just pop over HERE!
Bye!

If you’ve been anywhere near a tv, newspaper or radio recently, you’ll be aware that Queensland has been devistated by horrible floods.
To support those dealing with the horror, I will be donating the value of all sales from January and February 2011 to the Queenland Premier’s Disaster Relief Appeal. So every purchase you make will go to the appeal.
Thank you.

Just a quick reminder about the end of year draw!
All purchases from throughout the year will go into the draw to win a bunch of glass goodies. If you’ve bought more than once over the year, you’ll have multiple entries, so a higher chance of winning.
The draw will take place at the beginning of 2011 and the winner will be announced here and also emailled.
Good luck!

Hello everyone! I’m still on my dragonscale pendant kick and have just listed six new ones. I actually managed to make a green one this time! LOL You’d think I would of made one with the first lot huh? Green… Dragons…

I’ve also been playing around with some plain dichroic colours, turning it into cabochons for rings. It’s amazing how vibrant the colours are. I have to admit to having a weakness for the blues, they’re sooo pretty! I must make a note to get some pink dichroic too.

You can find all the new pretties lised HERE.
Toodles!

I am a huge fan of the wonderful paranormal romance books written by Deborah Cooke, specifically her Dragonfire series. Deborahs books have fired up my imagination and inspired me to create some fused glass pendants shaped like dragon scales. I had a lot of fun creating these pendants, each one has some sparkly dichroic glass within it to catch the light and flash with every movement. I hope you like them as much as I do.

I’ve also been playing around with adding loops to my small cabs to create charms and (later on) links. I couldn’t resist turning two of them into necklaces. I wire wrapped the loops in thin sterling silver wire, then popped them onto multi-strand waxed cotton necklaces that I had stashed away. Above is the blue one I made, I was really surprised to find the cords matched so well with the colours on the cabochons. I think they’d be perfect to wear with a tee and jeans or even as gifts for teens and tweens.
I have some round and square plain coloured dichroic cabochons made up that I will soon be turning into rings, so keep an eye out for the next blog post as I’ll have details of them then.
Cheers!

I’ve made some rings using my fused glass cabochons. To start with there are eleven available, 10 that have the smaller 16mm cabochons, and one with a larger 24mm cabochon.
I have put the smaller cabochons on the smaller width bands (3mm or 5mm) and the larger cabochon has gone on a ring with a 9.5mm band. These bands are all silver plated.
Very shortly I’ll also set up the website so you can order the cabochon of your choice which I will attach to the band of your choice. To start with I’ll only have the narrower bands available, so you’ll have the choice between a domed 3mm band or a flat 5mm band that tapers to 4mm.
Eventually, I’ll also be getting in some sterling silver bands, most likely in the next week or two depending on interest. Out of curiosity, would anyone be interested in antique brass & copper plated rings?
Anyway, I hope you love the rings as much as I do. I have to admit that I’m so very tempted to keep that large cabochon ring.
Toodles!
